On July 24th, 2008 at 0840 hrs, B-Shift was dispatched to a semi tanker rollover on U.S. Rt 30 and Leatherwood.  Multiple calls were received stating the truck was on fire.  Upon leaving station 1, first due trucks could see a large column of smoke coming from the vicinity. Upon arriving crews found a semi hauling steel beams over turned and hanging off a bridge, with the cab fully involved with fire.  The fire was quickly controlled and the driver of the rig was able to escape prior to the arrival of fire and rescue apparatus.  Delphos F.D., Shawnee F.D. and Allen County E.M.A., Along with Ohio E.P.A. and Ohio Fish and Game were called in to assist with the incident.
